Our Story
Creativity. Culture. Community. Endless Possibilities.
At Laoxa, we believe creativity has the power to bring people together, strengthen communities and create opportunities that leave a lasting legacy.
Founded by Lucy Ansa-Addo, Laoxa is a purpose-driven creative company based in Tottenham, North London, designing Interactive Legacy Experiences, handcrafted collections and community-led initiatives that inspire creativity, build confidence and celebrate culture.
Alongside our immersive experiences, our handcrafted collections, including our statement earrings, have been featured on ITV's This Morning, by Apple U.S. through Zerina Akers, and in Radio Times and Good Housekeeping UK through broadcaster and chef Andi Oliver.
As an unpaid carer, Lucy has experienced first-hand how life circumstances can shape people's opportunities. That lived experience continues to influence everything we do at Laoxa.
Our belief is simple.
Talent exists everywhere.
Yet many people face limitations that can make opportunities feel out of reach, whether through caring responsibilities, financial hardship, health challenges, lack of funding, limited support networks or other life circumstances beyond their control.
Through creativity, culture and community, we aim to help remove some of those limitations by creating experiences that encourage participation, develop skills, strengthen wellbeing and bring people together.
Interactive Legacy Experiences
At Laoxa, we don't simply deliver workshops.
We create Interactive Legacy Experiences.
Every experience is thoughtfully designed to encourage creativity, collaboration, storytelling, confidence, wellbeing and meaningful human connection while leaving behind something people can look back on with pride.
Our experiences include:
-
Laoxa Community Legacy Rug Programme
Collaborative tufting experiences where participants work together to create a permanent artwork. Every contributor is recognised on an engraved plaque, ensuring their participation becomes part of the artwork's lasting legacy.
Recent Community Legacy Rug collaborations and installations include projects inspired by children's author and illustrator Nick Sharratt with permission from Penguin Random House UK, together with installations and partnerships including Harris Primary Academy Philip Lane (Tottenham), Exale Taproom, Signature Brew Haggerston and Gipsy Hill Brewery Taproom, with many more exciting collaborations to come.
-
Yellow Telephone Experience
An immersive storytelling installation encouraging reflection, meaningful conversations, human connection and wellbeing.
-
Signature Ghanaian Food Experiences
Authentic Ghanaian soul food inspired by over four generations of home cooking, bringing people together through culture, conversation and shared experiences.
- Edible Art
Gluten-free hand-piped floral cupcakes transforming food into an artistic and memorable experience. -
Creative Workshops
Hands-on experiences designed to encourage creativity, confidence and practical skill development, including:
• Community Legacy Rug Experiences
• Rug tufting workshops
• Beaded Bag Workshops
• Clay Illustration Workshops
- Community pop-up markets
Immersive and interactive events championing small businesses from artists, food innovators to emerging and independent musicians.
Handcrafted Collections
Alongside our immersive experiences, we design handcrafted collections celebrating creativity, craftsmanship and individuality.
Our collections currently include statement beaded bags, tufted rugs, mood-boosting clothing, handcrafted earrings and future collectible pieces, with many more exciting collections planned as Laoxa continues to grow.
Endless Creative Possibilities
At Laoxa, we don't believe creativity should be limited to one medium.
Whether through art, food, storytelling, craft or community participation, every project begins with one simple question:
How can we create something meaningful together?
Every organisation, community and partnership is different, which is why we enjoy designing bespoke experiences tailored to each collaboration.
As Laoxa continues to evolve, we'll keep developing new Interactive Legacy Experiences, creative workshops, handcrafted collections and community initiatives, creating endless possibilities for people, organisations and communities to connect through creativity.
More Than A Single Event
We believe the greatest impact isn't created through a single event.
It's built through meaningful, long-term partnerships.
We work with brands, organisations, schools, cultural institutions and community groups to create bespoke Interactive Legacy Experiences that strengthen wellbeing, encourage collaboration, develop creative skills, engage communities and leave a lasting legacy.
Whether it's a one-off activation or an ongoing partnership, every experience is thoughtfully tailored to the people taking part.
Looking Ahead
Our ambition is to continue creating experiences that bring people together while expanding opportunities through creativity, culture and community.
Alongside our Interactive Legacy Experiences, we're also developing the DREAM BIG Fund, a future initiative designed to help remove practical limitations preventing people from taking their next step by supporting access to opportunities, skills and personal development.
Everything we do is guided by one simple belief:
Creativity has the power to bring people together, remove limitations, create opportunities and leave a legacy.
Welcome to Laoxa.
Let's create something meaningful together.
Endless possibilities - you are the inspiration - Laoxa Ltd
